Hello All!!
Well the wedding went well, everyone enjoyed themselves. The only bit that was really good for me was the actual ceremony. Plain and straightforward as it was it completely overshadowed the rest of the day. I was really nervous that having asked everyone to travel so far and at so much expense that the day would be a let down, but the wonderful hospitality of all at Springfort Hall House Hotel made everything perfect. Although it poured rain all day the house was beautiful and the food was exquisite but I will NEVER EVER have another wedding- the stress of it!!!
Spent a couple of nights glamping in Eagle Point, Ballylickey in West Cork with Ronald and Judit. Made a perfect minimoon, glamping in such an amazing place. I thought it would be impossible to forget the breathtaking scenery of the BĂ©ara Peninsula but it made it even more special seeing the visitor’s reactions. Not to mention the food, I think I put on about 10 kilos while we were back!! All the travel was hard work though, i think it would have been better for us to go directly from Brittany to Cork. Also we missed Saoirse sooo much!! Last time we will leave her for such a long time will be the honeymoon.
Speaking of which, we are off to Bali in a month! We will spend a week in Tulamben, 5 days in Kuta and another 5 days in Nusa Dua. Just really looking forward to having all that time dedicated to eachother and relaxing, learning some Yoga and meditation, loads of massages and sun, sea and sand. I’ve been quite run down and ill since we got back from Ireland so some recouperation is just what I need, not to mention the stress Keith has been through recently with tax issues and a colleague being on sabbatacle! Just need to book a couple of activities before we go so we have a loose plan for while we’re there, diving is a definite and wouldn’t mind some Balinese Cookery lessons aswell.
Also went to Aoife and Alan’s wedding in Maryborough House Hotel which was a bit of a disappointment. We were thinking of maybe getting a massage or something the day after but didn’t even bother giving them the business we were so disappointed in the overall place. Having said that the spa did look quite nice but the overall atmosphere in the hotel was so up its own ass we couldn’t justify it.
So that’s us for the moment, will try and blog more often, need to get into a routine with it!
